In the vast territory of Leona Amarga, Patagonia’s legacy unfolds through its rich history, nature conservation and wildlife stress free encounters. The estancia, a plot of land for raising sheep and cattle, was acquired by the Goic family in 1976. Their commitment to conservation allowed great recovery of the local grasslands, welcoming a stunning array of wildlife including guanacos, rheas and pumas. Inspired by this resurgence, the family established Leona Amarga Expeditions in 2017. Since then, the estancia has become a leading example of responsible wildlife tourism at the border of Torres del Paine national park, with options of wildlife sightseeing and horseback riding for travelers to connect to the untamed beauty and enduring spirit of Patagonia. Will you join us on this adventure?
